Our Practice

shutterstock_55614574 The practice is devoted to promoting high standards and has always been very involved in further training and development.

Every effort is taken at our practice to ensure patient safety. We have achieved the British Dental Association Good Practice standard and we are complying with all standards set by the Care Quality Commission.

We have a good mix of experience and enthusiasm and all place patient care highest in our priorities.

We understand that the dental surgery environment is not a comfortable place for our nervous patients. We have friendly caring staff and endeavour to make visits to us as pleasant as possible.

Previously nervous patients tend to be our most loyal patients with many continuing to travel to see us having moved away from the area.

Increasingly, dental practices are owned and managed by companies. We are a practice owned by the principal dentists. We believe this makes a difference to the care we can provide.

We endeavour to practice very high standards of cross infection control and appreciate the importance of the dental team in delivering high standards of care. We have invested heavily in new equipment and have a dedicated decontamination room.

Five of the six surgeries at the practice are on the ground floor. Please notify us when you book your appointment if you require treatment on the ground floor.

We carry out cosmetic dentistry and enjoy the transformation this can achieve. We do not undertake cosmetic dentistry if this is to the detriment of the patient’s health.

The practice offers both N.H.S and private treatments. Geraint Evans sees adults predominantly on a private basis while the other three dentists at the practice undertake a mixture of N.H.S and private work.

At our practice we offer most aspects of modern dentistry. Much of this is offered under the N.H.S. There are certain treatments of greater complexity that are not available in N.H.S primary care dentistry and certain cosmetic treatments that are only available privately.

One area of confusion can be root canal treatment (endodontics). Where this is straightforward, it is available at our practice under the N.H.S. Some root canal treatment is classed as complex and is not usually undertaken.
