A lip flip procedure is designed to enhance the shape of your upper lip. It’s achieved using carefully administered doses of Azzalure, a proven and safe type of cosmetic filler. The Azzalure is gently administered into the upper muscle surrounding the lips, known as the orbicularis oris. Once administered, it relaxes the muscle, allowing the top lip to ‘flip’ upwards, giving the appearance of a more balanced smile.
What this process doesn’t do is add definitive volume to the lips. To do this, you would need to use a dermal filler. So while a lip flip will roll the upper lip out, lip fillers create actual definition. The good news is that you can combine both treatments to give you a fuller-defined pout.
